Saint Ives is a private community app built for a single homeowners association, paired with the neighborhood's WordPress site at saintives.us. Residents sign in with their existing website credentials — a custom bridge plugin exchanges the login for a long-lived application password — and reach the neighborhood's directory, event calendar, discussion forum, HOA meeting minutes, and a vetted contractor directory from one place.
The heavy lifting stays on the website. Custom WordPress plugins provide the contractor directory and HOA voting as first-class content types, with the app reading them through dedicated REST endpoints. Because it is sideloaded rather than listed on a store, the app checks a hosted version file at launch and offers to download and install a newer signed build itself.
